Global Shortcuts

Access Stardust from anywhere on your Mac without switching apps.

Customize shortcuts in Settings > Keyboard.
The Quick Add shortcut lets you capture a task instantly without opening the main window.
Access Stardust from your menu bar for quick actions without opening the full app. Menu Bar Actions:
  • View today’s tasks at a glance
  • Quick add a new task
  • See notification count
  • Access preferences
  • Quit the app
Badge Count: Shows the number of tasks due today.

Native Notifications

Rich notifications that integrate with macOS notification center. Notification Types:
  • Task reminders and due dates
  • AI triage recommendations
  • Sync status updates
Features:
  • Action buttons directly in notifications
  • Respects Do Not Disturb settings
  • Grouped notifications for task updates
Configure in Settings > Notifications.

Offline Mode

Work without internet - your tasks are always available.

What Works Offline

  • View all tasks - Full access to your task list
  • Create tasks - New tasks queue for sync
  • Edit tasks - Changes saved locally
  • Search - Full-text search on cached data
  • AI Triage - Cached priority recommendations

Sync Behavior

When you’re back online:
  1. Push changes - Your edits upload first
  2. Pull updates - Remote changes download
  3. Resolve conflicts - Last-write-wins
  4. Notify - Shows sync completion

Focus Mode

Distraction-free environment for deep work. Activate: Cmd+Shift+F or View > Enter Focus Mode Features:

File Attachments

Attach files directly to tasks. Methods:
  • Drag files onto a task
  • Click the attachment button
  • Paste from clipboard
Supported:
  • Documents (PDF, Word, etc.)
  • Images (PNG, JPG, etc.)
  • Code files
  • Any file type

Open tasks from other apps via URL schemes.
