The Stardust Desktop app is a lightweight, native macOS application that brings your tasks to your desktop with offline support, global shortcuts, and seamless system integration.

Get Stardust from stardust.computer/download

Install

Open the .dmg and drag Stardust to your Applications folder

Launch

Open Stardust and sign in with your account

Press Cmd+Shift+S from anywhere to access Stardust instantly

Settings Location

Your preferences and cached data are stored in:
~/Library/Application Support/com.stardust.app/

Automatic Updates

Stardust checks for updates automatically:
  1. Check: Compares your version with the latest release
  2. Download: Downloads updates in the background
  3. Notify: Shows a notification when ready
  4. Install: Restart to complete the update
Configure updates in Settings > General > Updates.

Security

  • Code Signed: Signed and notarized by Apple
  • Sandboxed: Limited access to your system
  • Encrypted: All communication over HTTPS
  • Local Data: Stored securely in your user directory

Troubleshooting

If macOS blocks the app:
  1. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security
  2. Find the Stardust message
  3. Click Open Anyway
Try these steps:
  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Go to Settings > Sync > Force Sync
  3. If issues persist, sign out and sign back in
